Design Thinking for Grade 9 Geography
In the Design Thinking for Grade 9 Geography, Liveable Communities program, students will look closely at the concept of what makes a community liveable and sustainable.
A major focus for the unit will be on food, and a community’s role in providing access to food. Students will engage in exploring several aspects of urban design, resource use and management, and the human systems that are dependent on and affect them.
Students are driving towards answering the question, How might we redesign a city to become more sustainable and liveable?
